Let's look into some of the characteristics that make frogs so fascinating and essential to our way of life. We will also talk about some of the frog species found in the greater Melbourne region and our role in helping to protect them.
Our guest speaker is Jane Petch, Master of Water Resource Management. Jane is Waterwatch Coordinator for the Frog Census Program, Melbourne Water. She works to build community awareness and advocacy for the protection of frogs and their habitat.
Friends of Native Wildlife have been monitoring the best frog sites in Bayside for nearly twenty years and contributing to the Frog Census. During spring when frogs are most vocal, we invite members to come to learn more about frogs and their calls.
This event will include a brief Annual General Meeting for Friends of Native Wildlife Inc.
