Come with Belinda Raymond, the Entomological Society of Victoria and Friends of Native Wildlife on a fascinating journey to discover insects and other invertebrates of the night and learn about their patterns and camouflage.

Belinda will tell us about insects, spiders and other invertebrates, followed by a walk in Long Hollow Heathland to see them with the help of a bug-attracting UV light.

Belinda Raymond works for Citywide looking after George St Reserve and Donald MacDonald Reserve. While studying Conservation and Land Management, she gained an interest in fungi, plants and pollination and joined ESV. Her research over the last few years has shown how important they are to our ecosystem and the plants within it.

Belinda currently hosts a monthly insect survey with ESV at George St Reserve in Sandringham.

This event will include a brief Annual General Meeting for Friends of Native Wildlife.
