Enjoy this local hidden gem of Bayside. Unwind and contemplate. Promote and preserve this peaceful and valuable local bushland setting.

Home to four frog species, ducks and water birds, numerous waterbugs and after dusk out come the moths, bugs and our delightful microbats, all surrounded by native bush.

Currently Friends of Native Wildlife (FoNW) host regular planting and weeding days, along with regular frog surveys being submitted to Melbourne Water for nearly twenty years.

The Tulip Street Community

Volunteers can also help with Community Events such as bird counts and bug nights. Our pond life education days have enhanced the Reserve’s popularity and reputation. There is also a well developed BMX track in one corner of the reserve also surrounded by mature trees and a mix of native and introduced undergrowth which provide an arcade for a walking track through the reserve.

Over the past two years, FoNW working with the City of Bayside have invested resources enhancing the pond surrounds, water catchment and animal corridors, each aspect showcasing a strong design based habitat and in doing so, enhancing the Reserve’s biodiversity.
